Some days, home isn't where the work happens.
Worksop Workspace is a coworking space on Carlton Road in Worksop. It's used by parents across Bassetlaw and North Nottinghamshire on the days when working from home just isn't working. Six weeks of summer holidays, the half-term that keeps catching you out, a houseful of guests, a newborn that doesn't keep office hours. £12 for a day pass, no contract, free parking, 900 Mbps fibre, and the kind of quiet that lets you finish something for the first time this week.
Adults only by design (18+). The point of the space is the silence.
The weeks home doesn't work.
A few common reasons parents drop in.
Summer holidays
Six weeks of "Mum, where's the…", "Dad, can I…". Drop in for a morning, get a week's work done by lunchtime.
Inset days & half-term
The day school closes and you've got a meeting at 11. £12 buys you the quiet.
Working through a newborn
Parental leave catching up on something. Or a few hours back at work while your partner has the baby. No judgement, no questions.
Partner also on back-to-back calls
Two of you, one home office. Today is the day you went out for the quiet.
Houseguests stayed the week
Lovely to see them. Less lovely to take a video call from the hallway. Pack the laptop and come in.
Caring for an older parent
The day they have appointments, or the day someone else is sitting with them, you finally get four uninterrupted hours.
Sleep-deprived weeks
You need to be somewhere that smells like coffee and looks like work. Sometimes that's the trick to actually doing some.
Building something on the side
Side business in the evenings, freelance contract in the school day, anything that's yours. A real desk for it instead of the kitchen table at midnight.
Use it as much or as little as you need.
No long contracts. Pay for the day you're in.
Day Pass
Drop in any time
Best for the one-off days. A school inset, a meeting you can't take from home, a quiet morning during the holidays.
Hot Desk Weekly
Rolling weekly
Most parents use this through the summer holidays. About the cost of 2.5 days passes. Come and go however the week shapes up.
Meeting Room
Hourly booking
For the long video call, the team strategy session, the interview. By the hour, members or visitors.

The quietest desk in Worksop
