When this is for you

The shape of a freelancer's week.

Client calls without the chaos

No kitchen noise, no neighbour's drilling, no school run audible in the background. Sound like the professional you charge as.

Deadline weeks

The weeks the work gets serious. Show up at 8am, head down, leave at 5 with the work done.

Face-to-face client meetings

The meeting room is bookable by the hour. Don't pitch from a Costa. Bring them somewhere they take you seriously.

Self-assessment and year-end

January. Receipts, books, invoices, accountant emails. The room is silent. You finish in a third of the time.

Multi-client weeks

Three projects, four meetings, two pitches, a deck to finish. Mentally hard at home, fine at a proper desk.

Onboarding a new client

Kick-off video calls, getting access, signing contracts. Better done from somewhere that doesn't look like your front room.

Missing colleagues

The unspoken thing about freelancing. You don't need a networking event. You need a familiar face making coffee at the same time as you. That's what's here.

Building a side business

You're still employed, the side thing is taking shape, evenings aren't enough. Pop in for a Saturday morning when Phase 2 24/7 access lands.

Built around freelancer rhythm.

Pay weekly, switch up or down, cancel any time. No long contracts.

FAQs

The questions freelancers ask.

Where can I work as a freelancer in Worksop?

Worksop Workspace on Carlton Road is the first modern coworking space in Worksop. £12 a day or £30 a week, no contract. Free parking, 900 Mbps fibre, free coffee, a quiet professional floor. Designed for self-employed people who need somewhere serious to work that isn't a kitchen table or a café.

Is coworking worth it for a solo freelancer?

It depends on your day. If you're losing hours at home to distractions, or buying £15 of coffee a day in a café, the maths swings quickly. £30/week (about 2.5 days of pass-through coffee) is the natural starting point.

Can I take client calls professionally?

Yes. The main floor has a relaxed working volume that's quieter than a café. For long or confidential calls, the meeting room is £20 per hour.

Can I meet a client face-to-face?

Yes. The meeting room is bookable by the hour. There's also a reception area for a quick coffee before going somewhere else.

Do I need to commit to a contract?

No. Hot Desk Weekly is rolling. Pay one week at a time, cancel any time. Useful for freelancers whose workload is uneven.

What if I'm between clients and don't need it that month?

Cancel via the app. Come back when you've got new work. The current week is the only commitment.

Is there a meeting room for client pitches?

Yes. £20 an hour, members and visitors. Big enough for 4 to 6 people. See /meeting-room.

Can I print contracts and proposals?

Yes. Printer and scanner on site. A4 and A3, colour where needed.
